1. Small Kidney Stones

  • For the majority of the patients, observation is all that is required.

2. Medium Kidney Stones

  • Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy (ESWL)
  • Ureteropyeloscopy
  • Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy is normally reserved for larger stones.
  • If the patient is too weak for surgery, make an observation.

3. Large Kidney Stones

  • Ureteropyeloscopy
  • Open Renal Stone Surgery
  • Laparoscopic Surgery
